Before first use
- Read all packaging and instructions.
- Inspect the product for damage, sharp edges, loose parts or battery issues.
- Clean the product using a method approved for its material and electronics.
- Confirm whether the product is splash-resistant, waterproof or not water-safe.
Lubricant compatibility
Not every lubricant is compatible with every material. When the manufacturer does not specify compatibility, perform a small patch test and use a conservative option. Silicone-based lubricant may damage some silicone products.
Cleaning and storage
Clean before and after use, dry completely and store separately in a clean, cool place away from direct sunlight. Do not immerse powered products unless the manufacturer expressly states they are waterproof. Remove batteries for long-term storage when instructed.
Stop use when needed
Stop immediately if a product becomes damaged, unusually hot, painful, irritating or behaves unexpectedly. Seek appropriate medical advice for injury, persistent pain, allergic reaction or a retained object. Products are not a substitute for medical care.
Sharing products
Use appropriate barrier protection and cleaning procedures when products are shared or used between body areas. Porous materials can be harder to sanitize fully.
